I disagree about the topic because of two reasons.

First Science is the study of finding the obvious thing in the unknown. In other word scientists can’t predict result of research. That mean consequences are unclear. For example, Einstein who created the quantum theory, created quantum theory while the results were unclear. Deep learning which contributed to the development of AI being created amid the unclear results of artificial neural networks. Even if it is unclear, support is needed for this innovative development.

Second without the support, science can regress. If Governments do not fund any scientific research whose consequences are unclear and only support clear thing, scientist’s passions are decline. It leads to the departure of researchers from basic science, scientific development will slow down. It also leads to the departure of researchers from basic science too, development will slow down. In other words, it creates a vicious cycle.

So I disagree about the topic.
